Next Chapter - More to Come

“Did you hear what she said? I asked Lee.
“Welcome to New York. She said ‘Welcome to New York.’”

“She” is a parent in Lee’s new class at the Rudolf Steiner School in New York City.
She stopped to introduce herself – and to welcome us.

It was beginning to sink in.

We were standing outside the Rudolf Steiner School just off Central park on East 79th on Tuesday morning this week. The policemen next door guard the home and offices of Mayor Bloomberg. Word has it Spitzer lives on the same block. We haven’t seen either of them.

What we have seen are the beautiful, fresh kindergarteners that will be Lee’s ”flock” for the next eight (?) years. We have seen and met many of the parents - anxious, expectant, warm, generous, and welcoming. We are moving to New York where Lee is taking the first grade at the Rudolf Steiner School.

It’s a new adventure and we are smack in the middle of it.
